Current Situation, Development Path and Challenges of Nanomaterial Specification Standards

Abstract:Duringthecriticalperiodoftheindustrializationofnanotechnology,thenanomaterialspecifcationstandardsare of greatsignificancetothe developmentofthe newmaterial industry.Thispaperreviews thecurrntsituation,development pathways,andchallengesofnanomaterial specificationstandards.Chinahas takenanearlystartinthis fieldandachieved remarkableresults ininternational standards.Whendeveloping nanomaterialspecification standards,atentionshould bepaid to marketresearch,analysis ofexisting specifications,andcharacteristicsof materials.Theclasificationandscopedefition of materials,selectionand value of characteristic indicators,as wellascorresponding measurement methods are thecore elements.Amongthem,thecharacteristicsaredividedintotwocategories:keycharacteristicsandadditionalcharacteristics, andtheir measurement methods are basicall determined according to actual needs.The standardscan beclasified into diferenlevelsaccordingtothenormativityandthe“blanknumericalvalue”modeleectivelyenhancesthefexibilityofthe standards.Atpresent,thisfeldisfacedwithchallengessuchaslowenterpriseparticipation,diffiultyindefinnghelevel ofnormatiityndisientossisipliarcolboaton.Itisommededtrngtop-elsgnte interdisciplinarycooperation,prioritizethedevelopmentofstandards withhighmaturity,andoptimizethenanomaterial specification standards system.
