Study on the Implementation and Influence of Standardized Measures for Early Essential Newborn Care

Abstract: Objective:To evaluate the efect of standardized measures for early essential newborn care (EENC). Methods:38O newborns born intheFirst People's HospitalofBaiyin,GansuProvince fromJuly2023to January2024 were selected as research objects andrandomlydivided into the control groupand theexperimental group,with 190 cases in each group. The experimental group received EENC measures based on the standardization recommended by the World Health Organization,andthe control group received routine nursing. The weight gain,the incidence of jaundiceandtherate ofhospitalizationdue to poor feeding were compared between the two groups within 28 days after birth.Results: Compared with the control group,the average weight increase of newborns in the experimental group was 0.2kg higher (P<0.05) ,the incidence of jaundice was reduced by 15% 0 P<0.05 ,and the rate of hospitalization due to poor feeding was reduced by 10% (P<0.05) ).Conclusion: Standardized EENC measures play an important role in promoting the healthy growth of newborns and reducing the incidence ofcommon diseases.
