Abstract：With the gradual increase in China’s requirements for building fire prevention and the continuous enhancement of residents’awarenessof fire prevention，the quality of fire resistant window products is receiving increasing attention.However，with the development of technological innovation and the continuous emergence of new materials and processes，some important technical requirements of theold standardscanno longer meet the rapid development of the current fire resistant window product market and the actual needs offre safety work. GB 16809-2024，Fire resistant windows，was releasedon November 28，2024and oficially implementedon December 1，2025.Thearticle compares thenew andold versions of thestandardforfireresistant windows，and elaborates on thediffrences between thenewandold versions of the standard interms of key component performance，basic performance，physical performance，and other aspects.This helps fre resistant window manufacturers and inspectors quickly understand and apply the new version of the standard.
