Epidemiological Characteristics and Preventive Management Measures of Foodborne Disease Outbreak Events in Zhangqiu District from 2019 to 2024

Abstract: Objective: To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of foodborne disease outbreaks in Zhangqiu district,Jinancityfrom2O19 to2O24,and toprovideatheoreticalbasis fortheformulationofpreventionandcontrol measures for foodborne diseases. Method: Descriptive epidemiological methods were used to organize and analyze the information of 30 foodborne disease outbreaks that occurred in Zhangqiu district from 2019 to 2024.Result: A total of30 foodboe disease outbreaks ocurredin Zhangqiu district from2019to 2024,with410casesand2deaths. They were mainlyconcentrated inthe second and third quarters,with the largest number of reported events in May; the age of onset was mainly concentrated in 12~18 years old and 36~59 years old; catering service places and families were the main places where the events occurred; events with clear causes were mainly caused by pathogenic microorganisms and their toxins, poisonous plants and animals and their toxins. Conclusion: Popularizing food safety knowledge,strengthening food safety awarenes,and strengthening supervisioncan effectively reduce the occurrence of foodborne disease outbreaks.
