Research on Innovative Pathways for Teaching Large Units in High School Geography to Foster Students' Comprehensive Thinking

AbstractIntegrated thinking,as a key component of geographical core competencies,directly affects students' holistic understanding of geographical phenomena and their ability to solve practical problems.Large-unit teaching, with its holistic and systematic curiculum design,provides an effective pathway for cultivating integrated thinking. Based on thecharacteristics ofsenior high school geography,this articlefirst defines thecore concepts of integrated thinking andlarge-uniteaching,thenanalyzes the intrinsicrelationship between them,clarifiesthebasic principles that large-unit teaching should follow,and systematically proposes innovative pathways for large-unit teaching insenior high schoolgeographyfrom four aspects: objective reconstruction,content integration,activitydesign,and evaluation optimization.Itaims toprovide theoretical references andoperational models for teachers toconduct teaching practices oriented towards core competencies.
