Research on the Application of Experiential Teaching Method in the Practical Teaching of Geriatric Nursing

AbstractWith the intensificationof populationaging, thecultivation of practical abilities of elderly nursing talents has become an important isue in nursing education. The traditional practical teaching of elderly nursing suffers from a disconnect between theory and practice due to the complexity of service recipients,the comprehensiveness of skill requirements,and the internalization of professional ethics.Based on Dewey's "learning by doing" and Kolb's experiential learning theory, experiential teaching method constructs a teaching model that integrates theory and practice through strategies such as situational simulation,on-site participation,case reflection,and emotional resonance.Research has shown that this method can effectively restore clinical scenarios,promote students'deepening of understanding of the elderly population,enhance their clinical thinkingand professonal identity,and provide a feasible path for the reform of elderly nursing education.
