AbstractAgainstthebackdropof increasingspecialization inhighereducation,theroleof general education instudents' spiritualgrowthisbecomingincreasinglyprominent.Thisstudydeconstructs te intemalmechanismofthe influenceof general education inuniversities onstudents'spiritual growth,revealingitsrole through fourmajorpaths: knowledgeliteracyfoundation, valushaping transmission,thkingabilityimprovement,andemotionalexperieneconstruction.Italsonales tepoblems ofexisting goals deviating fromthe essenceofeducation.Inresponse to theabove shortcomings,itis proposedtoreconstruct the goalsystem guidedby"holistic education,promotethe deepintegrationofgeneraleducationandstudents'spiritualgrowth, and provide theoretical support and practicalreference for the reformoftalent cultivation mode in higher education.
