Exploration on Cultivation of Applied Talents in Chemical Engineering Based on "Competency-based" Approach

AbstractThe conceptofcompetency based education is an important guiding ideology forthe cultivationof applied talents inchemical engineering，aiming to strengthenstudents'vocational skilsand literacy through ascientific and reasonable educational paradigm.The ability based cultivation of applied talents in chemical engineering focuses on developing students' practicalabilities and vocational skills to meet future job demands.The article focuses on the difculties faced by collge students in finding employment and the shortage of labor in enterprises. It analyzes the existing problems and reasons for applied talents inthe chemical industry，and proposes countermeasures from the perspectives ofabilityoriented training objectives，practicalcourse implementation，teacher teambuilding，and student employment inappliedundergraduate collges.This hasreference significance forthe cultivation ofappliedtalents that meet the needs of social development.
