Exploration of the Application of Multimodal Teaching in College English Translation Classes

AbstractMultimodal teaching is an innovative educational concept that integrates multiple semiotic systems, including language,images,sounds,and gestures.Embedding this approach into college English translation teaching can expand the expression ofteaching content,reshape the teaching organizationalstructure,andtransform the learning interaction pathways. Aiming to meet thedemands ofcultivating high-quality versatile translationtalents in contemporary collge English translation education,this study, grounded in the theory of multimodal teaching, explores its multidimensional application in curiculum design, teaching activity organization,and evaluation systems.By constructing a multimodal resource system,creatingan interactive teaching environment,and improving a multi-dimensional assessment mechanism,the study promotes the transformation ofEnglish translation teaching from "knowledge input" to "competency development".
