Abstract： Microplastic polution poses a huge threat to the ecological environment and human health，and improving relevant laws isof great significanceforthe prevention and control of microplastic polution.In order toachieve the preventionand control of microplastic pollution，it is necessary tooptimize prevention and control technologies and regulatory strategies，and strengthen publicityand education on microplastic polution prevention and control.This paper explores the significance，current situation，and pathof preventing and controlling microplastic polution，analyzes the existing egal regulations on microplastic pollution，and proposes strategies forimproving microplastic polution prevention and controllawsbasedon environmental protection.Overall，it is necessary to improve the legal contentrelated to environmental protection，formulate special laws formicroplastics，strengthen international exchangesandcooperationand provide reference for the prevention and control of microplastic pollution.
