Abstract： In orderto explore theapplication ofremote sensing technology in river water qualityand environmental monitoring，this paper takesariver waterenvironment monitoring projectin Binjiang district，Hangzhou cityastheresearch object，andanalyzes the specificapplication of remote sensing technology in water qualityand environmental monitoring. Analysis suggests that remote sensing technology can effectively improve the eficiency and spatial coverage of water qualityand environmental monitoring，butitstillneedstobecombined with traditional monitoring methods toensuredata accuracy.Inthefuture，itisnecessary tostrengthentheinnovationofremotesensingdataprocessing technology，promote interdisciplinary technology integration，and further enhance theapplication efectofremotesensing technology in water quality environmental monitoring.
