Abstract: Passiflora edulis Sims,as a characteristic economic crop in tropical and subtropical regions, its processing by-product—the weight of the Passiflora edulis peel accounts for more than 50% of the total weight of the fresh fruit.Due to itslowutilization value,itisdiscarded,resulting inresource wasteandenvironmental polution. In recent years,research has found that the Passiflora edulis peel is rich in functionalcomponents,including polysaccharides,polyphenols,flavonoids,pectin,dietary fiber,carotenoidsand minerals,etc.,and hassignificant biologicalactivitiessuchasantioxidation,hypoglycemic,antibacterialandanti-inflammatory.Thisarticleprovides a reviewof the chemical composition,biological activityand development application of Pasiflora edulis pl.It offers prospects for future research directions from the dual perspectives of deepening basic theories and innovating industrial applications,providing systematic theoretical support forthe efcient developmentof Passiflora edulis pel resources.
