Abstract: As water polution becomes increasingly severe,eficient and low-energy wastewater treatment technologies have become acorerequirementinthefieldofenvironmental enginering.Biodegradable wastewater treatmenttechnology, whichutilizes microbial metabolism to convert organic polltants in wastewater into harmless substances,has emerged as oneof the mainstreamtreatment methods.Basedonthis,athoroughanalysis of itsapplicationinenvironmental protection engineering isonducted,focusingontreesages:pretreatment,iologicalreatment,anddvanced treatment.Eacheps implementationproceduresandkeyparametersaredetailed,withclearcontrolstandardsandoperationalrequirementsfor each stage.Byscientificallyadjusting process parameters,eficientremoval of indicatorssuchas Chemical OxygenDemand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand in5days (BODs),andsuspended solidscanbeachieved,meting relevantdischarge standards.
