Abstract： Since taking the lead in promoting garbage classification in China in 2O19，Shanghai city has been encouraging waste producing units to reduce waste at the source and utilize resources.Against the backdrop of the“Four Types of Airports”strategy inthecivilaviationindustry，solid waste managementhas becomeanimportantaspectof greenaiport construction.Taking the foodwaste treatmentatPudong International Airport asan example，through introducing microbial degradation liquefaction technology，wet wastecan be convertedfrom solid to liquid state withareductionrate of over 95% .Wastewaterand exhaust gascan be purifiedandtreated to metlocal standards in Shanghai city，achieving compliant discharge.The construction of a wet waste disposal center atPudong International Airportreplaces the original external transportation treatment，achieving on-sitereductionof wetwaste.This projectis thefirstofitskindindomesticairports， with certain environmental and economic benefits，and has further promotion value in large hubs or parks.
