Abstract: The carbon emissions of thermal power plants have a significant impact onachieving the“dual carbon” goals. Starting fromtheimportance ofreducing carbon emissions fromthermalpowerplants,thispaperanalyze thereasonsfortheir high carbon emissonsand propose targeted emissionreduction measures.Analysis suggeststhatthe single energystructure, aging equipment,andlagging aplication of green technologies are the core factors leading to high carbon emisions. By optimizing the fuel structure,upgrading the equipment system,and strengthening technologicalresearch anddevelopment, wecan effectively promote thelow-carbon transformationof thermal power plants andassistinthesustainable development of the energy industry.
