Abstract: In order to explore efcient andlow-costsewage treatmentsolutions,research isconductedontheapplicationof Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactor (MABR) in municipal sewage treatment.Firstly,gradient aeration pressreconditions are setup to analyze their efects on the removal rates of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)and ammonia nitrogen ( NH3 -N), then,thediferences inturbidityremovaleffciencybetweenintermittentaerationandcontinuousaerationarecompared,and the effluent quality and membrane fouling are monitored. When the aeration pressure is 30~40 kPa, the MABR has the best removal effect on COD and NH -3 -N. Intermittent aeration mode is superior to continuous aeration in turbidity removal, achieving more efficient turbidity removal by reducing membrane foulingand optimizing microbial metabolic activity. Theoptimization of aeration pressureand the adoption of intermitent aeration modes in MABRcan significantly enhance treatmentefficiency,demonstratingconsiderable potentialfor municipal wastewatertreatmentand providingascientific basis for practical applications.
