Evaluation of the Applicability of Wet Coliform Test Pieces for Early Warning of Pathogenic Bacteria in Food Service Ware Testing in Child Care Facilities

Abstract：To evaluate the detection efect ofcoliform test plates from different manufacturers on pathogenic bacteria in contaminated tableware inchild care facilities，this studyselected five wet coliform test plates from different manufacturers forfiverepresentative foodborne pathogenic bacteria，namelyEscherichiacoli，Klebsiella pneumoniae， Cronobacter sakazaki，Salmonella and Shigell pneumoniae.The bacterial suspension was prepared by gradient dilution to simulate thecomplex microbial load environment of tableware inchildcare facilities.Multidimensional comparative analyses were conducted on its color development characteristics，detection sensitivity， specificity and interference.Theresults show that the main detection target of the tableware coliform bacteria test plate is coliformbacteria，but in practical application，itcan detect a variety of non-target pathogenic bacteria， providing significant value for the prevention and controlof hygiene risksof tableware in child care facilities.The results of this study can provide a reference for child care facilities in choosing appropriate test strips and early interventionof tableware hygiene，helping to improve theaccuracyand eficiencyof detection and ensure thehygiene and safety of catering in child care facilities.
