AbstractThe theoryofemotional cognition is helpfulforcounselors tohelpeconomically disadvantaged students sort out the reasons fortheir negative emotions when carrying out university sponsored education work, guide students to viewrealityand diffculties reasonably,andthus helpstudents improve theiremotionalregulationability.Thearticle takes a financially disadvantaged student as an example to explore how counselors can better understand students' emotional experiences and provide personalized support to promote their comprehensive development through the integration of emotional cognition theory and university sponsored education work.
