Exploration on the High-Quality Development Path of Higher Academic Continuing Education

AbstractTo implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Commitee and the State Council on running continuing education well，the Ministry of Education has issued the"Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Reform ofAcademic Contiuing Education in Ordinary Coleges and Universities in the New Era" with the core essence of "standardizing management and improving quality". Higher academic continuing education plays an important role inimplementing theconcept of lifelong education，buildingalearning society，and vigorously improving the national quality.TakingNorthwest Normal Universityasan example，startingfromthe overview ofhigheracademic continuing education，this paper explores the paths to improve the quality of higher academic continuing education： creatingcharacteristic professional structuresand training programs，standardizingandstrengthening the management ofeducational and teaching processes，constructing aquality assurance system foracademic continuing education，and accelerating the informatization construction of academic continuing education. The purpose is to promote the standardized and orderly development of higher academic continuing education.
