AbstractUnder the background of the "double carbon" goals,environmental enginering,as a key discipline studying the protectionandutilization ofnaturalresources and promoting sustainable development,is facing new opportunities and challenges in talentcultivation.The"doublecarbon" goals notonlyrequireenvironmental engineering professionals to have systematic professional knowledge but also need topossess innovative thinking and entrepreneurial iteracy to meet the needs of emerging fields such as carbon emision reduction,carbon trading,and resource recycling. Based on inovation and entrepreneurship education,this paper analyzes the problems and deficiencies in talentcultivation of environmental engineering specialty in terms ofcuriculum teachingcontent,practical teaching links,and teaching staff construction.It thendiscusss feasible teachingreformstrategies fromtheaspects ofcultivatingstudents'"doublecarbon" awareness,awakening students' endogenous motivation, and optimizing students' growth environment, aiming to contribute to the cultivation of innovative and applied "double carbon" talents.
