Application of Mesh Dynamic Refinement in Cutting Simulation of TB6 Titanium Alloy

Abstract:When simulating metal cutting processbasedon finite element simulation,observation on the area near the tool tip needs to be focused ondue to thedrastical deformation processthat metal cuting goes throguh with very complex geometric nonlinear characteristics undertheactionofthermalcoupling.Taking TB6asthesimulationobject,screens the mesh nearthetooltip,andlocallyrefines the mesh inthetooltiparea,and transfers thephysicalfieldofthemesh before andafterthe refinement.Basedonthefiniteelement simulation software,the secondarydevelopmentof the local mesh dynamic refinementtechnology is carried out,which ensures the simulation accuracy and significantly reduces the time required for simulation.
