Abstract： Climate test is aspecial test specified in GB/T1094.11—2022Power transformers—Part1：Dry-type transformers.Itis used todetermine theconformityof dry-typetransformercorresponding tosixclimate levels from Cl to Cxy.The test assesses whether the dry-type transformercan operate safely，reliablyand stably under special use conditions. Itverifies the designand manufacturingqualityofdry-type transformers，and provides data support for the adaptabilityof dry-type transformer environment.This article gives corrsponding standard interpretation in terms of the preparation，procedureand acceptance criterion of climate test. Itanalyzes in detail thetwo test methods，the DC power supply test method and the AC power supply test method for applying current and monitoring the average temperature of the winding for the thermal shock test in the climatic test procedure.
