【Abstract】This paper mainly analyzes the efect of materials,machining and lubrication technology on improving the transmission efficiencyof automobile gears.In terms of materials,Cr-Moaloystel(18CrNiMo7-6)isused and carburizedandquenched to makethe gearsurface extremely hard (58~63 HRC)and wear-resistant,andthe depth of hardenedlayer is2.0~3.5mm.Inmachining,high-precision grindingandsuperfinishing (Klingelnberg P26detection)are used to control the tooth direction deviation in a very small range( ⩽2μm/100mm )tomake the tooth surface contact more uniform.In lubrication,synthetic gearoil and pressre circulation lubricationare selected based on DowsonHigginson equation toensure thattheoilflm is thick enough tocompletelyseparate thetooth surfaces.The frictionloss and vibration noise are efectively reduced by the cooperation of the threewhich provides a reference for developing efficient powertrain.
