【Abstract】Electromechanical Braking (EMB)technology is driving a generational shift from hydraulic to brakeby-wire systems.Targetingautonomous driving requirements,this study employs theoretical comparison and empirical analysis to reveal EMB’s triple breakthroughs over hydraulic systems.Structural Reconstruction: Electromechanical direct-drive architecture eliminateshydraulicpipelines,reducingcomponentsby 40% and mass by 24.1% .Performance Leap: Response time ≤ 100ms 30% faster), control precision ±0.01MPa 0 85% higher),reducing collision kinetic energy by 62% in AEB scenarios.Energy Eficiency Innovation: Enhancing endurance by optimizing drag torque.Localization practices confirm feasibility: xxx company curbs torque attenuation at -40C 6% ). The new regulation GB 21670—2025, to beimplementedon January lst,2O26,will accelerate industrial substitution.Future eforts must resolveredundancy costschallengestoward integrated "brake-drive-steer" smart actuators.
