【Abstract】Fatigue failure of automotive components is a key factor affecting vehicle safety and service life. In the contextof therapid developmentoftheautomobileindustry,thetraditional empirical designmethodisdiicultto meetthe durability requirements under long cycleandcomplex working conditions.Withthe progress of computational mechanicsand material science,quantitative analysis methods based onmathematical models provide eficient and lowcost solutions forfatigue life prediction.Therefore,thispaper systematicallydiscusses the mathematical characterization offatigue damage behaviorof automotive parts,in the hope of promotingthe paradigm shiftof durability design from "experimentalvalidation" to "model-driven",and providing theoretical support forautomotive lightweightingand reliabilityenhancement.
