Abstract：PrinciplesofMetallurgyisanimportant theoreticalcourseindisciplinessuchasmetalurgyandmaterialsscience. ThispaperreportsontheconstructionoftheelectivecoursePrinciplesofMetallrgyanditsblendedteachingapproach froma generaleducationperspective.Thecourseisguidedbythesmeltingprocesesofmodernmetallcmaterials，bridgingspecialized andgeneraleducationthrough fundamentalconcepts，andhasrapidlyestablishedanelectivecoursesystemforextractive metalurgy.Thecoursehasbuiltandpublishedonetextbookof blendedmedia，andthe MOOCcourseisnowavailableonline. BasedothetextbookandMOOCvideoresources，thecourseitroducesmetallrgicalprocessvideosintelasroom，highlights theapplicationofvisualteachingmethods，andcarriesoutblendedteaching.Giventhediverseprofesionalbackgroundsofthe students，thecourseassessmentprimarilyfocusesonthetranslationofEnglishtextboksormonographsintoChinese， supplementedbythematicassgnments，therebyincreasingtheweightofabityassessment.Thecourseideologypromotesthe splendidachievementsofmetalsmeltinginChinathroughouthistoryinspiringstudentsmotivationfortechnologicalinovation. Thecourseplanscontinue toengageinuseful explorationandresearchinblendedteaching，mobileteaching，anddigitalcourses.
