Research and Practice on Reading Promotion in Libraries in the Information Age

--Taking the Special Course "Full Reading for CollegeStudents" as an Example LUO Yongmei, TU Jingwen, ZHANG Jun (Nanchang College of Business,Jiangxi Agricultural University,Nanchang 33o2oo,China)

Abstract: This paper examines research and practice methodologies for library reading promotion through the case study of the special course "Colege Students' Whole-process Reading". Designed around contemporary reading habits and engagement pattrns among students,the course employs comprehensive guidance to cultivate sustainedreading interest and healthy reading habits.Implementation strategies include utilizing new media platforms, organizingreading events,and integrating thecourse intoundergraduatecurricula.Practicehasshownthatthis course hassignificantlyenhanced students'reading interestandabilities,effectivelyfosteredapositivereadingatmosphere in the library,and provided ideas for promoting reading initiatives.Exploring promotion models through information technology plays a crucial role in improving the effectiveness of library reading promotion efforts.
