Design and Implementation of X-band Up/Down Conversion Module WANG Xiaoping (Shanghai Picowave Electronic Technology Co.,Ltd., Shanghai 2018o2,China)
Abstract: Microwave transceiver systems are widely used in fields such as communication and radar. The up and down conversion module converts RFand IF signals,which has asignificant impact on system performance. The X-band is widely used in militaryapplications suchas radarand satelitedue to its anti-nterference and low loss characteristics,andisaresearchhotspot.Thepurposeof thisarticleis todesignand implementX-bandupanddown conversion modules as partof the display platform.The up conversion module converts the S-band intermediate frequency signal intoanX-band radio frequencysignal,whilethe downconversion moduleperforms theopposite function. By using AltiumDesigner software for schematic and layout drawing,a physical PCB with dimensions of 84 mm*69 mm was produced. Combining the hardware system to build a testing platform,after debugging,the circuit has achieved the predetermined upand down conversion function,meeting the design requirements and succesfully demonstrating the X-band transceiver function.
