Research on the Path to Improve Data Security and Information Transparency in the Construction of BlockchainEnabled E-Commerce Food Traceability System

Abstract: Blockchain technology provides an innovative solution for building food traceability systems in e-commerce,ensuring data immutability through distributed ledgers and smart contracts,thereby significantly enhancing the transparencyand credibilityof food safety information.However,the current applicationofblockchain technology still face challenges such as insufficient technical adaptation,lack of standardization,and lagging regulatory mechanisms,specificallymanifested in data storage securityrisks,informationsharing barriers,and video traceability vulnerabilities.To address these issues,this study proposes a four-dimensional optimization approach: constructing a hybrid architecture of “main chain + side chain”to balance security and effciency; improving unified data collectionand interface standards to promote cross-platform interoperability; establishing a“chain-on + chainoff’ collaborative supervision mechanism to strengthen video traceability verification; and promoting multi-party collboration to buildan international traceability ecosystem.The deepapplicationofblockchain technology requires balancing technological innovationwithregulatory standards,achieving ful-chaincredible traceabilitythroughcrossentity collaboration. This system improvement willprovide systematic support for food safety governance in the e-commerce era, facilitating sustainable industry development.
