Abstract：Objective：To investigate thecognitionand demandofdaycarefordisabledelderlyandtheir direct caregivers in Nan'anDistrictofChongqing.Methods： From January2024 to August 2024，311 disabled elderly people and their direct caregivers from 6member medical institutions of theNan'an NursingQuality Control Centerof Chongqing were selected and investigated by literature review， expert consultation，questionnaire surveyand on-site interview.Results：There weresignificant diferences ingender，age，educationlevel，numberofchildren，monthly income and the cognition and demand for day care of the disabled elderly （P<0.05） . Conclusion： Gender， age， education level，numberofchildren，monthly incomeandaccompanying persons duringmedicaltreatmentcansignificantlyaffect the cognitionanddemandfor“daycare”of thedisabledelderly.Theolder theage，the lowertheeducation level，the fewerchildren，the lower the monthlyincome，the lowerthe cognitionand demand for“daycare”ofthe elderlywho are accompanied by their children or relatives.
