Abstract： This paper focuses onthe national standard GB 30720-2025，Minimum alowable values of energy efficiency and energy eficiency grades for gas cooking appliances. Combined with energy conservation policy updates and technological developments over thepast decade since the implementationof GB30531-20l4，Minimumallwable values of energy eficiency and energy efciency grades forcommercial gas cooking appliances，and GB30720-2014， Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efciency grades for domestic gas cooking appliances， it thoroughly explains therevision backgroundof thenew standard，and systematicallysortsoutand interprets the main changes.It makes adetailed comparison betweenthe new and old versions in termsof scope，energy efciency indicators，and testing methods，providinga useful reference for stakeholders to understand and apply the updated standard.In addition，this paper adopts a horizontal comparative analysis approach to examine the publication and implementation requirements of energy efficiency standards for gas cooking appliances in other countries. It summarizes the scope，indicator types，and technical requirements of relevant standards inregions such as Europe and the United States，further highlighting China’s advanced position in the feldofenergy eficiency standards for commercial gas cooking appliances.
