Application and Strengthening Strategies of Artificial Wetlands in the Treatment of New Pollutants

Abstract:Withthedevelopmentof industry,newpollutantssuchasantibiotics,microplastics,andendocrinedisruptors continue toenter theenvironment,posingathreat toecologyandhumanhealth.Thetraditionalsewagetreatmenttechnology has limitedabilitytoremove thesepollutants.Artificial wetlandsarealow-costandeco-friendly methodthathas shown potentialforappicationinthetreatmentofnewpollutants.Thispaperintroduces theapplicationofartificialwetlands inthe treatmentofantibiotics,microplastics,and endocrinedisruptors,and proposesstrengthening strategies fromfouraspects: substrate optimization,plant improvement,microbial utilization,and process combination.
