Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Total Phosphorus Load and Identification of Key Source Areas in Suzhou City

Abstract:Taking Suzhou cityas theresearch object,thespatialdistribution characteristicsand keysourceareasof total phosphorus pollution loadareanalyzed.Research showsthattotal phosphorus polltionin Suzhou mainlycomes from nonpoint sources,accounting for 61.1% of the total load; dryland pollution is the main source of total phosphorus in the Suzhou city,accounting for 33.5% of the total non-point source emissions; point source emissions account for 38.9% of the total emisions,with sewage treatmentplants being themainsource;Wujiang districtisakeysourceareafortotalphosphorus emissions in Suzhou,accounting for 25.51% of the total emissions; the phosphorus pollution load in the southern and northernpartsofSuzhouisrelativelyhigh,whilethephosphoruspollutionloadinthecentralbuilt-upareasisrelativelylow.
