Comparative Analysis of the Bearing Performance of Horizontal Force on Conveyor Belts Between Steel Structure Transfer Stations Arranged Separately and in Rows

Abstract: Stelstructure transferstationsarecritical components of industrial conveying systems,andtheirload-bearing performanceand structuralsafetyarestrongly influencedbybeltconveyor-induced horizontal forcesand structural layoutconfigurations.Focusingonthecomplex horizontal loadsformedbythesuperpositionofstaticbelt tension,startupand braking impact forces,and seismic actions,asystematic investigation was conductedontheforce characteristics andlateralresistanceperformanceofsteel structure transferstationswith independentand in-linearrangements through mechanical modelingand comparativeanalysisof engineering cases.Theresults indicate thatindependentlyarranged transferstations,owing toinsufcientglobal stiffnessandconcentratedloadefectsareprone toexcessivecolumuplift forces,localbuckling,anddiicutiesindisplacementcontrol.Incontrast,in-lineangedtranferstationsanacheve stifness integrationandloadredistributionbymeansofcontinuousbeltcorrdors,longitudinaltrusse,orouplingbeams, therebysignificantlyreducingstressconcentrationandpeak internalforcesinindividualcolumns,whileimprovingoveal deformationcompatibilityand seismic performance.Underconditions of high seismic intensityandlarge-scale conveying systems,in-linearangementsarerecommended,incombination withoptimizationmeasures such asuplift-resistant anchorbolts,theincorporationofbuckling-restrainedbraces,andtheinstalltionofslidingbearings.Thefindingsprovide theoreticalsupportand practical guidanceforthesafedesignofstelstructure transferstations inindustrialprojects.
