The Effect of Psychological Intervention Based on Empowerment Concept on Postoperative SleepQuality in PatientsUndergoing Pituitary Tumor Resection

AbstractObjective:Toexploretheefectof psychological interventionbasedontheempowermentconceptonpostoperative sleepqualityinpatientsundergoingpituitarytumorresection.Methods:Atotalof8OpatientswhounderwentpituitarytumoresectionattheDepartmentofNeurosurgery,TheFirstAfiliatedHospitalofBengbuMedicalUniversityfromJanuary2O2to June 2023 were selectedandrandomlydividedintoacontrol groupandanobservation groupusingarandom numbertable method,with 40 patients ineachgroup.Thecontrolgroupreceivedroutine nursingcare,whiletheobservation groupreceivedadditional psychological interventionbasedontheempowermentconcept.ThePitsburgh SleepQualityIndex(PSQI)wasused toasssslepqualitybeforeandafterinterventionSlepparameters,includingsleeplatecy(SL),totalsleeptime(TT),sleepeficiency(SE),nd rapid eye movement(REM)slepratioweremonitoredusing polysomnography.Results:After intervention,PSQIscoresinboth groups decreased,with the observation group showing significantly lower scores than the control group( P<0.05 ). SL in both groups decreased,withtheobservation groupshowingasignificantlowerSLthanthecontrolgroup.TST,SEandREMsignificantly increasedinbothgroups,with theobservationgroupdemonstrating significantlyhigher valuesthanthecontrol group(all P< 0.05).Conclusion:Psychological intervention basedontheempowermentconceptcan efectivelyimprovepostoperative slep quality in patients undergoing pituitary tumor resection,demonstrating value for clinical application.
