Effect of Binaural Beat Training Combined with Exercise Therapy on Post-stroke Insomnia

AbstractObjective:Toinvestigate theinterventionefectof binauralbeattraining(BBT)combined withexercisetherapy inpatientswithpost-strokeinsomnia(PSI).Methods:Atotalof78PSIpatientsadmitedtotheDepartmentofRehabilitationMedicine in Jiangning HospitalofNanjingfromJanuary2O23to January2O25wereselectedandrandomlydividedintoanobservationgroup andacontrolgroup,with39 cases ineach group.Thecontrol groupreceived exercise therapyalone,whiletheobservationgroup received exercise therapycombined withBBT.Changes insleepquality,sleepstructure,andqualityoflifewerecomparedbetween thetwo groupsbeforeandaftera4-week interventionResults:Afterthe intervention,thePitsburgh SleepQuality Index(PSQI) total scoreanddimensionscores,numberof awakenings,andrapideye movement(REM)latencyintheobservation group were significantlylowerthanthoseinthecontrolgroup,hiletheproportionofN3sleepstage,sleepeficiency,andStroke-Specific Quality of Life Scale(SS-QoL) scores were significantly higher( P<0.05 ). Conclusion: Binaural beat training combined with exercisethrapycaneffectivelyimprovesleepqualityoptimizesleepstructureandenhancequalityof lifeinpatientswithpoststroke insomnia.
