Predictive Value of Combined Assessment of Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Index and Daytime Sleepiness Level for Coronary Event Recurrence Risk in Patientswith Unstable Angina Pectoris

AbstractObjective：To explore the predictive value ofcombining sleepapnea hypopnea index（AHI）and daytime sleepiness levelfortheriskofcoronaryeventrecurrenceinpatients withunstableanginapectoris.Methods：Atotalof8OpatientswithunstableanginaadmittedtotheThirdAfiliatedHospitalofInnerMongoliaMedicalUniversityfromJanuary2O22toFebruary2024 wereselectedasthestudysubjects.During hospitalization，patientsunderwentpolysomnographymonitoring（PGS）andwereevaluatedfordaytimeslepinessusing theEpworth Slepiness Scale（ESS）.Allpatientsunderwent percutaneous coronaryintervention andwere folowedfor12 monthsaftersurgery.Basedontherecurenceofcoronary events duringthefollow-upperiod，theywere divided into a recurrence group（ n=32 ） and a non-recurrence group（ n=48 ）. The predictive value of AHI and ESS scores on the risk of coronary event recurrence in patients was analyzed. Results：There was a statistically significant diference（ P<0.05 ）between groups in NYHA clasification，numberof awakenings，awakening time proportion，and minimum oxygen saturation（ SpO2 ）. TheAHIandESSscoresofterecurrence groupwerehigherthanthoseofthenon-recurrecegroup，andthediferecewastatistically significant （ P<0.05 ）. NYHA class I～II ，number of awakenings，awakening parameters，lowest SpO 2 ，AHI，and ESS scoreswere all independent risk factors for recurrence（ P<0.05 ）.TheAUC predicted by AHI combined with ESS score was 0.833，andthesensitivityandspecificitywere 76.73% and 86.75% ，respectively，outperformingindividual indicators.Conclusion：Therecurrnceofcoronaryevents inpatients withunstableanginaiscloselyrelatedtotheirslpquality. Combined AHI and ESS scores can predict the risk of coronary event recurrence in patients early.
