AbstractObjective:To explore the value of white noise combined with touch therapyinimproving thesleep qualityof newborns.Methods:Atotalof10O newborns deliveredatPutian First HospitalfromFebruary2O24toFebruary2O25were selectedandrandomlyasignedintoacontrol groupandanobservationgroup,with5O newborns ineach group.Thecontrolgroupreceivedroutinenursingcare, whiletheobservation groupreceived whitenoisecombined with touch therapyinadition toroutine care.Theexcellentsleep-qualityrate,incidenceoffeding itolerance,andsleep-relatedparameters beforeandafterintervntion were compared between the two groups. Results:The total excelent sleep-quality rate in the observation group( 98.00% )was higher than thatin the control group( 72.00% ),and the incidence of feeding intolerance( 6.00% )was lower than that in the control group( 24.00% ). The differences were statistically significant( P<0.05 ). Before intervention, the two groups showed similarsleep-related parameters, ncluding average sleepdurationandlongest sleepduration,as wellas similar growthanddevelopment indicatorssuchasheadcircumference, bodylength, andbodyweight;thediferences werenotstatisticallysignificant( P> 0.05).Afterintervention,allindicatorsimprovedinbothgroups.Theobservationgrouphadlongeraverageslpduration,longer longestslepduration, andlongeraverageawakeningduration, andshowedhighersleepeficiency, higherproportionofuiet sleep,aswellashgherscoresinrhythmstabilityandday-nightdiereniation.Meanwhile,tetimerequiredforinitiatingseep was shorter than that in the control group. The differences were statistically significant( P<0.05 ). Conclusion : White noise combined with touch therapy can more effectively improve sleep quality in newborns.
