Effect of Acupoint Pasting Combined with Auricular Point Pressing on Sleep Quality inPatientswith Vertebrobasilar-type Cervical Spondylosis

AbstractObjective：Toinvestigatetheefectofacupointpastingcombinedwithauricularpointpressingonvertebrobasilar-type cervicalspondylosis.Methods：Atotalof8patintswithvrtebrobasilar-typecervicalspondlosishoweretreatedattheursing outpatient departmentofQuanzhou TraditionalChinese Medicine Hospital from January2O24 to December2024were selected forthisstudy.Thepatients wererandomlydividedintoacontrolgroupandanobservationgroup，with54cases ineach group.The controlgroupreceivedauricularpoint presingtherapyalon，whiletheobservationgroupreceivedacupoint pasting combined with auricular point pressingtherapy.Vertebralartery bloodflowvelocityandimprovements insleepqualitywerecomparedbetweenthe two groups.Results：Beforetreamenttere werenostatisticallsignificantdiferencesinvertebralartrybodfowvelocityand sleepqualitybetweenthetwo groups.Aftertreatment，thePSQIscoresoftheobservationgroupwerelowerthanthoseof thecontrol group with statistically significant differences（ P<0.05 ），and the vertebral artery blood flow velocity of the observation group was higher than that of the control group with statistically significant differences（ P<0.05 ）. Conclusion： Acupoint pasting combined withauricularpointpresingtherapyhasapositivetherapeuticefectonvertebrobasilar-typecervicalsondylosisadcansignificantly improve sleep quality in patients.
