AbstractObjective:To investigatetheanalgesicefectand impactonsleepqualityof esketaminecombined withropivacaine during ultrasound-guidedsciatic nerve block inelderlypatientsafterlowerlimbfracturesurgery.Methods:Atotalof Oelderly patients withlowerlimbfractureswhounderwentsurgicaltreatmentin Taizhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2024 toDecember 2O24 were selectedandrandomlydivided intoacontrol groupandanobservation group,with40cases ineach group,usingtherandomnumbertablemethod.Thecontrol groupreceivedultrasound-guidedsciatic nerveblock withropivacaine alone,whiletheobservation groupreceived ultrasound-guidedsciaticnerveblock with esketaminecombined withropivacaine.Postoperativeanalgesiceffects，sleepquality，and incidenceofadversereactionswerecompared betweenthe two groups.Results:The postoperative Visual Analogue Scale(VAS）scores and Pitsburgh SleepQuality Index(PSQI） scores in the observationgroupweresignificantlylowerthanthoseinthecontrol group,andthediferences werestatisticallysignificant( P
