AbstractObjective：To investigate theefectsof health educationbasedonthe Behavior Change Wheel（BCW）theoryonthe safetysleepknowledge，parentingconfidenceandparentingbehaviorof parentsof infants.Methods：Atotalof132postpartum womenandtheirspouseswhodeliveredatYiwu Maternaland ChildHealth Hospitalfrom October2023 toOctober 2O24 wereselected as study subjects. They were divided into a control group and an observation group（ n=66 each）according to maternal admissioorder.Thecontrol groupreceivedroutinehealtheducation，whiletheobservation groupreceivedBCWtheory-basedhealth educationinaddition toroutinecareDiferences insafesleepknowledge mastery，parentingconfidencelevels，andparentingbehaviorswerecomparedbetweenthetwogroups.Results：Aftertheinterventio，thesafetysleepknowledgelevelsoftheparentsin both groups improved. The safety sleep knowledge score of the observation group（ 28.18±4.17 ）was higher than that of the control group（2 ？5.32±4.88 ），and the diffrence was statistically significant.The parenting confidence of the parents in the observation groupimproved，whilethetotalscoreandscores ofeachdimensionofparentingconfidenceinthecontrolgroupshowednosignificantdiferencecompared withthosebeforetheintervention.Moreover，theparentingconfidencescoreandscoresofeachdimension in the observation group（ 31.14±9.17 ） were higher than those in the control group（27.74 ±7. 45），and the difference was statistically significant（ P<0.05 ）. The proportion of children in the observation group who slept in their parents'room and in thesupine positionwas higherthanthatinthecontrolgroup.Conclusion：BCWtheory-basedhealth educationefectively enhances infant parents'masteryof safe sleep knowledge，strengthens parenting confidence，and improves parenting behaviors.
