Abstract:Thispaper explores theexplorationandapplicationof ideo-polical education(IPE)contentofforeign language coursesinuniversityDrawingonthedistinctivefeaturesofforeignlanguageinstructionitfirstidentifiesfivekeydimensionsof IPEcontent:Xi Jinping ThoughtonSocialismwithChineseCharacteristicsforaNewEra,thecoresocialistvalues,China'sfine traditionalcuure,costitutioalandeof-lawducationdprofesioalidealsadethicsducatioSecod,byting multimodalcase-basedresources,thestudyclassfieseighttypesofpathwaysforacessing IPEcontentwithinforeignlanguage courses.Finall,itproposesthatteachersshouldadheretothreeguidingprinciplesindesigning IPEcontent:maintainingthe unityofexplicitndiplicitintegration;fosteringinteractionacrossallevelsbetweenteachersandstudents;andaligingclosely withcurrentafairsandeveryday life,therebyadvancingthe fundamental missionoffostering virtuethrougheducation.
