Abstract:Thereformoftheevaluationmechanismforfacultydevelopmentinhighereducationinstitutionsiscrucialfor enhancingteachers’professionalcapabilitiesandimprovingthequalityofhighereducation.Withthecontinuousadvancementof highereducation,theevaluationmechanismforfacultydevelopmenthasshiftedfromasinglequantiativecrieriontoamore diversifiedandcomprehensiveevaluationsystem.However,severalissesremaininthecurrntevaluationmechanism,suchas narrowevaluationstandards,anoveremphasisonresearchoutcomes,neglectof teachingquality,andunreasonableappointment cycles.Thispaperanalyzestheevolvingtrendsoffacultydevelopmentevaluationmechanismsindomesticandintematioalhigher educationistutions,examinesexistinghallnges,andproposespathwaysforimprovement.Thegoalistoestablishaientific open,andefectiveevaluationsystemalignedwith institutionaldevelopment,therebyenhancingfacultymotivationandcreativity and providing strong talent support for improving the quality of education and teaching.
