Abstract：Fieldpracticeonengineringgeologyisthebasisforthecultivationofinnovativetalentsincivilengineering majors.Itplaysanimportantoleinstimulatingundergraduates"earninginterest，cutivatingstudents”innovativethinkingand practicalabilityTakingthefieldpracticeofcivilengineringmajorofChina UniversityofGeosciences（Wuhan）inZiguicounty oftheThreeGorgesareaasanexample，thispaperintroducestheimplementationprocessoffeldteachingofengineering geologyindetailfocusesontheanalysisofthewaytocarryoutfieldpracticeandtheteachingmethodsofdemonstrating locations.ReflectionsontheexistingproblemsandpossblesolutionsoffieldpracticehavebeeproposedfinallySpecificallyin ordertomobilizestudents’learninginitiativeandcultivatetheirthinkingconsciousnessofgeologicalphenomena，therational designoffieldteachingmethodsisemphasized.Theaboveimplementationprocessandteachingmethodscouldbereferrdby other universities when conducting field practice on engineering geology for the major of civil engineering.
