Abstract:Cable insulation materials usually contain organic substances such as polymers or rubber,which will gradually release volatile organic gases(VOC)after long-term use. Most VOC gases are flammable and explosive. Excessive concentration will cause fires and explosions in cable tunnels,which will lead to cable faults. In order to realize the online real-time monitoring of VOC gas in the cable tunnel,this paper studies the detection principle of PID photoion sensor,designs an online PID gas monitoring cable fault early warning system with PID photoion sen⁃ sor and GD32F405RGT6 chip as the core,and elaborates the composition of the early warning system,mainly in⁃ cluding the minimum system of single chip microcomputer,gas sampling circuit, alarm module,serial communica⁃ tion module and other units.
