Research on the application of new materials and structural innovation design in traffic engineering

Abstract：This paper comprehensively discusses the application of new materials and structural design in traffic en⁃ gineering and its role in improving road safety，durability and environmental sustainability. This paper analyzes the characteristics and application cases of new materials such as porous asphalt，self-healing asphalt and high perfor⁃ mance concrete. At the same time，innovative structural design methods such as modular design and green design are discussed，and the comprehensive application of these technologies and the practical challenges are evaluated. Finally，the paper puts forward the direction of future research，including continuous technological innovation，inter⁃ disciplinary cooperation，long-term performance evaluation and the formulation of policies and standards.
