Research on the influence of freeze-thaw cycles on the shear properties of non-aqueous reactive polymer materials

Abstract:In this paper,the shear strength of polymer materials with different densities under different freeze-thaw cycles was tested by cylinder torsion test. The nonlinear surface fitting of shear strength,density and freeze-thaw cy⁃ cles was carried out,and the damage mechanism of freeze-thaw cycles on polymer materials was revealed by scan⁃ ning electron microscope. The results show that the shear strength of polymer materials with the same density de⁃ creases with the increase of freeze-thaw cycles. The shear freeze-thaw damage degree of polymer materials increases with the increase of freeze-thaw cycles. The decrease of the shear strength of the polymer materials after the freeze-thaw cycle is essentially due to the damage of the bubble holes of the polymer material under the action of the reeze-thaw cycle,which leads to the decrease of the shear strength
