Abstract:Renewable activated carbon was prepared from walnut shell by carbonization,activation and modifica⁃ tion of trimethyloxyphenylsilane,and its ability to adsorb volatile organic compounds in ambient air was studied. The experiment results showed that the residual amount of volatile organic compounds in ambient air after adsorp⁃ tion did not exceed the standard range,and the adsorption amount of volatile substances in ambient air was large. The gas chromatographic column values of butyl acetate at initial temperature and heating temperature were the low⁃ est,which were 5mV and 1.5mV ,respectively. The gas chromatography columns of p-xylene and m-xylene have the highest values,with values of 19mV and 11mV ,respectively;It can be seen that the adsorption pores of renew⁃ able activated carbon under heating conditions are larger than those under initial temperature conditions,and have strong adsorption capacity.
