Comparative study on VOCs emission characteristics of chemical enterprises based on green environmental protection

Abstract:Through the investigation and VOCs sampling detection of specific industry(surface coating)enterprises, the VOCs emission characteristics of enterprises and the environmental and health benefits of low VOCs content raw and auxiliary materials substitution were analyzed. The results show that the VOCs emitted by enterprises are mainly aromatic hydrocarbons. The total VOCs emission concentration of the workshop and the organized waste gas before and after the replacement is 6.8% , 4.7% and 12.0% of that before the replacement,respectively,and the VOCs ozone generation potential is 7.1% , 5.2% and 15.0% of that before the replacement,respectively. The substi⁃ tution of raw and auxiliary materials with low VOCs content has certain positive benefits to the environment. Aromat⁃ ic hydrocarbons should be preferentially controlled before substitution,and oxygen-containing VOCs should be pref⁃ erentially controlled after substitution. There are non-carcinogenic risks and carcinogenic risks before and after sub⁃ stitution,and source substitution may not necessarily have positive health benefits. Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen occupational health and safety risk control regardless of substitution or not.
