AbstractAs a treasure of Chinese culture, ancient poetry is often praised for its concise language and profound artisticconception.However,this isverydificult forelementaryschoolstudents whosecognitiveabilities havenotyet fullydeveloped and whose ability to understand text is limited.Basedon this,the article explores in depth the application of story based teaching method in the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry in primary school, aiming to effectively enhance students' learning interest and cultivate their comprehensive Chinese literacy.
